Nipples to Kneecaps or Kneecaps to Nipples - which one are you?

What does the phrase 'Nipples to Kneecaps' conjure up for you? After having chosen the title I discovered that a similar phrase 'Kneecaps to Nipples' is used to denote a person who is so afraid that they pull up their own knees to their chest and hugs their knees for safety and comfort.

Well, that didn't happen! In fact, it was the opposite ... so I suppose 'Nipples to Kneecaps' fits as the antonym to 'Kneecaps to Nipples'; we refused to show or even feel fear and stood proud instead. However, that was not the reason for the title. All is revealed in chapter two.
